Starling Medical College 1848-1907

|
Lyne Starling (1784-1848), a local, wealthy community leader, almost
immediately offered the school $30,000 to build a hospital and medical
school under one roof. For the first time in America, medical education
and patient care were integrated into one facility, a concept which was
years ahead of its time.
