Provenance

The items in this collection were given to the Medical Heritage Center in 2002 by Iris Dixon, granddaughter of Henry W. Hill. The collection was processed in January 2003 by Judith Wiener.

Dixon also donated Hill’s medicine bag and a pharmaceutical bottle. These items are located within the MHC artifact collection.

HISTORICAL SKETCH

Henry W. Hill was a 1894 graduate of Starling Medical College. He later worked as a general family practitioner in Ohio.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection contains an 1894 graduation photo of Hill as well as an 1894 photograph of an unknown classmate. A later undated photograph of Dr. Hill in his office is also located in the collection.
